My working hours
Anyone else glad January is almost over…?
Thought I’d clarify my availability in a post, and would also direct you to my Adultwork blog, in which I mention some upcoming household disruptions that may impact in-calls on and off from early February to mid-March (about 12 days in total). I’ll be providing updates on the situation on my Twitter feed, which is how I publicise when I am/am not working on pretty much a daily basis.
In a nutshell, while the decorators are in, I won’t be available before 4pm on weekdays. Evenings and weekends are unaffected. I may well do some touring and/or spend the odd night in London in lieu of my normal in-calls, so let me know if there’s anywhere in particular you’d like me to visit.
But generally, I am potentially available any day. My only plea is – give me some notice, please!! I can only very rarely be ready within an hour; 1.5 or 2h is much better/safer. And this applies 2-10pm – I can work from 10am, but before 2pm needs to be booked the night before. For regulars I can sometimes start earlier in the morning, too, but I’m definitely a night owl… 😉
Sun-Thurs I finish at 10pm (i.e. end the booking then, not start it), but can go up to 11pm Fri-Sat. I DO work at weekends – Saturday or Sunday bookings are no problem at all.
So, hopefully I’ll still be able to see you more or less when you want, aside from the odd day. And my house will look much better for it! By Easter it should be repainted and recarpeted, and I’ll also be buying a new bed…
